As an Oklahoma Senior Photographer, I always love to see how other photographers edit their photos. I could sit and scroll through before and afters allll day!
How about a few BEFORE & AFTERS from some of my most recent Brandi Price Photography Seniors?
I know you don’t want to look like someone else in your pictures… just the best YOU possible. That’s why I pride myself on an organic, natural editing process that maintains skin texture, skin tone, colors present in the image, etc. Your teeth won’t be a blinding shade of white, your eyes will remain their real color, and it won’t look like I edited your pics with an Instagram filter. Nope… no fake tones or processes here! Every image is completely hand edited by me to look true to life.
First up, let’s look at this gorgeous image of Ella. Just needed a little bump in contrast, a little crop adjustment, and then some fine details cleaned up. Teeth whitened just a touch (they won’t be glowing!), skin smoothed just a tiny bit (it won’t look like plastic!), and eyes popped just a tad (will still be your natural color!). My goal is to always get it as close to perfect in camera so that the editing is minimal. That helps to keep you looking like YOU!

Next let’s look at this senior picture of Sydney. It needed a little more adjustments to the whole image than the first one. It came out a little on the cool (blue) side so I first warmed it up. Then I pulled down the shadows just a little to make her pop in the image. Her skin is pretty perfect just the way it is, so there was a very small amount of smoothing to be done. Then I made her eyes shine a little more and then she was done!
These reflection pictures are always some of my absolute faves!

This beautiful fall senior portrait of Claire was pretty great straight out of camera. I wanted to make it pop just a bit more, so I increased the vibrancy and warmed it up just a bit. I also wanted to remove anything that distracted from the senior. The fire hydrant and traffic cone needed to go. I removed the fire hydrant in photoshop and just cropped in a touch to get rid of the traffic cone. The end result is a perfect fall photo.

Now let’s look at a senior guy edit. It was a cold December session, so the overall color of the image was cool. I warmed it up a bit and that was about all it needed. Do you se the biggest edit I had to make? When he sat in that pose it caused his pant leg to come up most of his calf. I loved the image and didn’t want to toss it because of that. Added some length to the pant leg and it also covered the black Nike sock!

As you can see, I strive to keep you looking like you at your absolute best! One thing that helps the editing process so much is the professional hair and makeup that is included in every session. My artists know exactly how to get you camera ready and looking completely natural.
4 Things I WILL NOT Do For My Clients When Editing Their Senior Pictures
1. I will not erase your natural skin texture. I want my clients to retain their pores, beauty marks, and freckles in their senior images, so I take those extra steps in Photoshop to do so. I will not make you look like a plastic doll or remove elements that make you so beautifully you. I will however, happily remove blemishes, dry skin patches, rough skin texture, etc.
2. I will not leave fly aways all over your face. My goal when editing is for your face to be the front and center of the your image and that can’t happen if there’s little fly aways crossing over your mouth, face, or eyes. I will take extra precautions to remove them while maintaining the elements underneath so you’ll never know those fly aways were there in the first place.
3. I will not slap on a IG filter. I also strive to maintain true colors in our images including your true skin tone, natural greens in the image’s surroundings, natural clothing colors, your natural hair color, etc. I edit your images with a process that does not make you look orange or strip greens of their natural beauty. No filters or presets are ever used. Every single image is completely hand edited.
4. I will not alter what makes you, you. I want to make sure these image represent you as you are now at your truest self. I will not adjust your natural features like your nose, cheekbones, lips, waist, etc because you don’t need any of that to showcase your beauty.
